This interesting project has started with the very rare L'Orangerie Moderne kit of the T57 Vanden Plas Bugatti. My customer wanted a chassis model and a model of the car. Unable to locate another kit we decided to build the very detailed chassis form the kit and use all of the other components to construct a 'dumbed' down version of the car. More like a Vroom in regards to detail. Full detail on the car in regards to what can be seen.

I'm not sure the kit was designed to be built as it is a real bear to get anything to fit and look correct. I suspect out of the 350 kits created many remain unbuilt due to the complexity of fit and finish.

I have finished the chassis pretty much to kit specs a few remaining details to be finished.

I have constructed a chassis pan and a block of renwood shaped to the hood so I can 'laminate' the photo etch brass multi piece hood over the top.

Very good choice, Cal.
It's a great kit, I think it's modeled by Christian Gouel, with a high level of detail.
I have built this model, many years ago, but I did not make a chassis like yours, which is really well done. Congratulations !
