It is a very nice build done almost to perfection. The Toyota was made in Germany, but as far as influence Audi did build a coupe around the same time in 1998. Not sure who came up with the idea first but Audi's coupe was slow so the dropped it in favor of the open version.

This model was done for me a few months ago; Laurent had told me Max had photographed it before. Laurent did his usual superb job with this build, with added extra details from the transkit he picke up.

It is true this car never won Lemans, but it is a beautiful sleek design that influenced Audi and Bentley.

The finish is this model is typical Laurent; flawless paint and decal application with a carbon fiber display base.

It's 1/24th. Hiro does not do 1/18th scale kits. 1/18th scale kits are very rare, and mainly come from Europe.

The Tamiya kit is better, and much less expensive. This resin kit came out just before Tamiya announced their plastic kit. Bad luck for Hiro I guess. You can also get trankits for the Tamiya kit, so that you can do several cars and superdetail them if you wish.

Since it never won Lemans and it's a Toyota I passed on both kits.

Toyota has never won Lemans or an F1 race. Considering how much they spent on both that is an amazing accomplishment.

BTW, is this Hiro 1/18 or 1/24 ?
