This is the first in my planned series of 1/43rd scale pits from different eras and venues. Based extensively on my father's photo archives from Watkins Glen and other tracks, this scene depicts the old pits at the Glen in the late 1960s. With the exception of the figures (there are 3 photogs with scratch built cameras and straps) everything in the scene is scratch built. I airbrushed the figures in light grey and left them like that as I wanted the cars and pits to stand out more and not have the figures detract from them. If you look closely enough there are many small details that will set this apart. There is a lap chart on the pit wall with stopwatches, a tire changing gun and air tank, re-fuelling drum and hose, tool box and tools, pit board sign with individual numbers and letters and other small bits an pieces. I positioned the figures so that 2 cars (that I've included for the photos only) will easily fit onto the base. It is for sale. Anyone that is interested may PM me for the price.
