Unbelievable!!!

The sad part is that so few people will get to see this - and even less will appreciate what went into its creation...

Marvelous piece of craftsmanship. I am deeply impressed. And: please don't insert a driver: it makes a model look toy like. A Denizen figure standing beside the car is great, however. But that's how I feel about it.

Actually juergen assembles the rear side.
All parts come together, to examine whether everything fits and find a usefull sequence of assembling.
At this model it's more difficult. The most parts will soldered!
In this stage juergen realize, that the strut between anti-roll bar and lower wishbone was too thick. So he reduces them from 0,47 to 0,34mm! more is not possible.
One of the last challenges is the trouble between the exhausts and the shocks! He must fit the exhauasts for first – but than there is no place for the shocks and vice versa :-)
Somehow it wents!

Now it arrives: the biggest conceivable accident! The greatest fear.

PICTURES from the car!

http://petelyons.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Can-Am-1969-With-11-races-this-was-the-Can-Ams-longest-season-with-11-wins-McLarens-best-year/G0000O9pp4.MIg.I/I0000hxmCiOdZcxg/C0000evpnMYhHl.4

Pete Lyons had made a lot of pictures made – in this year and of this car! This pictures force me for some modifications at the end of the car. Juergen started immediately. But the final assembling …………… ! :-(
That's the fate of the modelbuilder, who wants to build a perfect model.

i must correct the link

http://petelyons.photoshelter.com/gallery/Can-Am-1969-With-11-races-this-was-the-Can-Ams-longest-season-with-11-wins-McLarens-best-year/G0000O9pp4.MIg.I/C0000evpnMYhHl.4

here you can see some of the 'problems'!

i hope, juergen will finish the problems with the back of the model soon.

Good morning!
The unrecoverable assembly starts!
First the Front section an the doors.
It's real difficult, pinning the doorhinges. At the pictures, all looks big. The size of one hinge shaft is 0,47x1,45mm. Nearly invisible!
Juergen guarantees you can open the doors for all time!
Now some cables must placed in the Front section. Than starts the great adventure – the rear section. Engine and Suspension.
But what is modelmaking? The Limit will moved up and up.

Wow, this is absolutely a stunning Master piece.
