Fine, James, it should be an interesting topic.
But your choice for the beginning is wrong. Monroe never had this or any other Ferrari. You can read about this story here:

To continue this thread.
Ingrid Bergman and her husband Roberto Rossellini had five or six Ferraris in different times. One of those cars was 212 Inter Pinin Farina. This is a short story connected with it, taken from manufacturer press-release:
"This 212 Pinin Farina Berlinetta was purchased new by film director Roberto Rossellini as a wedding anniversary present for his wife, the movie star Ingrid Bergman. Rossellini himself was one of the most important directors of Italian neo-realist cinema. Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman were close friends with Enzo Ferrari. In a conversation with Enzo, Ingrid said in regards to her custom ordered 212 Inter "instead of getting a new flat we are getting a new Ferrari with a bigger trunk." After taking delivery of the Ferrari in Rome Rossellini and Bergman drove the car north through the Alps of northern Italy and Switzerland into Germany and then caught a ferry to Denmark. They eventually arrived at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm at 3.00 a.m. The following day Bergman received a movie award."

And this is photo of Bergman who is inspecting the car at the 1954 Paris salon

Yes, of course. And I tried to do this - photo of the star together with her car and link to the model pictures for not to repeat them once more.

A great topic and fun thread.
Thanks to James for starting it and to Vladimir for so many informative posts, and to anyone else contributing to it too.

I also have that nice little "Marilyn Monroe" Ferrari and never got around to checking on the connection, and now I know the rest of the story.
My favorite methinks is the BBR Rossellini car not pictured just because of it's clean lines..

and James, just curious but where in Colorado do you live?

Cheers and Happy Collecting,
Steve

I think some important ones are missing...
Christie Brinkley and the 308 GTS

Alain Delon, Jane Fonda and the California... a triplet of a certain thickness...

The Ferrari that Rossellini built for Ingrid Bergman...

That last one is Ferrari 375MM s/n 0402AM, which Rosellini ordered for himself. 375MM s/n 0456AM is widely regarded as the "Bergman" Ferrari, but she probably has never driven it.

As far as I know the car was ordered by Rossellini himself for Ingrid Bergman, but this happened while they were divorcing and so he kept for a while the car ( he then sold it, afterall). But it was intended for Ingrid.
