Looks like a great kit. I just received it last week. The only thing is the Monaco race nose is to short. They do supply bother practice and race noses so you can modify the longer nose to make a race version.

The illustrations in the kit as well as the instructions indicate the wrong nose for the 67 Monaco race. Bandini's had a long nose and the long nose in the kit is correct for his car

First up on this project is the Bandini car...

They used a long nose during practice and a slightly shorter with a squared opening nose in the race. The Hiro "short nose" is to short. If you want to do the race version correctly you would have to square out the opening of the long nose supplied and shorten it slightly.

Still a rather nice kit. The small amount of photo etch in the kit was a surprise.

OK... this nose is the race nose...it is definitely different. Either way neither nose in the kit is correct for the race.

So I assume this would be a photo along with a bunch of others taken during practice...

Thanks for pointing that out. It's always nice to know these things in advance ;)

Interesting reference point is the Ferrari badge on the nose. For the race the nose was shortened quite a bit.

Yes...I know that from the photos...plus the opening is quite a bit larger.
