curious if you have checked the door hinge operation with the sidespear trim on the doors? All the pics I've seen of this kit built the doors don't open much... It looks to me like the sidespears bind in the door openings and keep the doors from opening much. I could be wrong but it's something I've noticed in looking at pics.

I will most likely modify the hinges...they are somewhat wonky. And yes..the doors are limited in their swing...which is a challenge. But it's the hinge design that falls short.

Time passes fast in this business!

The process of fitting the doors, hood and trunk. The hinges in the kit suffer from lack of thought so these will need to be worked over.

Looking at the bottom of the chassis I have spot soldered it is place for rigidity as I fit the panels to make sure they will align correctly after paint and final assembly.

Doors have been worked out and now swing out properly. Refinements will be made and then on to color.

That's a good point Joe. You could make a mold of that Bosica logo, reproduce it in resin and put it on the display base.

Base coat and final clearcoat is completed...of course in a few days this will be wet sanded and polished.

A final dry fit prior to assembly. The window frame has been polished and will now be nickle plated.

Building up the 4 cam motor...a jewel all on it's own...

Then a quick dry fit to the chassis. The small rod is for handling purposes.

The carpet kit will now be fitted, then the suspension will be installed and it will go up on it's wheels for the first time!

The rear leather cover is started [this will be dyed to match the seats and door panels, etc.]The paint has been fully polished out. The doors require some minor "tweaks" and on to the chassis build up.

More progress today including the leather rear cover with real rivets holding it in place and dyed to match the seats...which are operable in that the slide and tilt!
